Cricut Cardz Challenge; Challenge #13

Hello Everyone,

Today I decided that I was going to participate in the Cricut Cardz Challenge at http://www.cricutcardzchallenge.blogspot.com. The challenge request was to make a tall card (9" x 4") which fits into a legal size envelope. This challenge had no theme and no colour basis, so it was an anything and everything goes (practically).

To make my card I used the "Life is a Beach" Cricut cartridge to cut out the palm trees, sun and waves. Before I adhered the cut outs, I embossed my background cardstock with flourishes using Versa Color Cyan and clear ranger embossing powder. Using some of my stamps that I have at home; I stamped the monkey in the inner-tube and the saying "have a beach-n birthday!" using black Momento ink. Once my images were stamped and dry I used my copic sketch markers and coloured in the monkey and then I did the taring technique around my saying.

Then WAH-LA! There you have it. A wonderful birthday card for any age.

Thanks for reading and viewing.

Halloween 2009

These were the attempts I made for scrapbook layouts. I know they are little late (4 months. lol) but I thought I would share them anyways.

The man in the picture is my boyfriend Cameron. He was having fun taking the pumpkin guts out and carving out awesome pumpkins. He is a Mario Bros Guru.

More Valentine's Day Cards

Alright, so I have some more Valentine's cards I had made that weren't part of the card class, that I wanted to keep separate. These were just simple cards using my cricut expressions, copic sketch markers, valentine stamps, buttons, primas, gems/bling, faux stitching and I also did some heat embossing. Enjoy.

Some more apologies for the backgrounds, I had taken the pictures at my creation station.

Valentine's Cards (Card class)

Here are 3 cards I had made during a card making class with the girls at Scrapbook Central in Courtenay. I can't remember everything that was used but we did a lot of stamping, colouring with copics and die-cuting; oh and of course.. adhering and using gems. 2 of the cards are standard open-close and 1 is a swing/pop-up card (the pink chandelier). I hope you enjoy and ask any questions you may have.

My Mom's Birthday Card

I just wanted to show you a creation I made for my Mom's birthday this past Saturday.

It's a simple card where I had letterpressed with ink using the circles spellbinder impressabilities metal sheet and then I cut out 2 scallop circles and used an acrylic cupcake stamp for the center. To destress the edge of the scallop circle I used brushed corduroy by ranger and then I used copic sketch markers to colour in the cupcake.

I apologize for the lighting I took it at night and couldn't use the flash or I would get a huge glare.

Hello Everyone,

My name is Stephanie Mrdeza and I am 23 years old; and I am very new to the blogging world so it will take me a while to get my blog up and going steadily. I am from a small town on Vancouver Island called Campbell River. I haven't been scrapbooking for very long, maybe just over a year. I do mostly cards but I have recently went out of my comfort zone and started to make my own scrapbooking layouts. I will hopefully get some of my projects up on my blog for everyone to see. Then my next task is to figure out how to do videos.

Take care everyone.

xoxo
